CHANDLER, Ariz. — BlackOhm has joined the Special Operations Forces Rapid Acquisition Consortium for Emerging Requirements, known as SOF RACER. The membership creates a new pathway for the company to engage with U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) on emerging technology requirements.
SOF RACER was launched in 2026 to connect Special Operations Forces with commercial and defense industry technology providers. The consortium gives commercial firms, nontraditional vendors and defense contractors a faster path to USSOCOM. It targets 12 areas, including C4ISR, human performance, robotics, drones, data and artificial intelligence.
Through the consortium, BlackOhm will engage directly with emerging USSOCOM requirements and offer mission-ready solutions to operational challenges. As a SOF RACER member, the company will help advance key SOF priorities, including C5ISR, human performance, unmanned systems, expeditionary operations and operational data.
“SOF operators need reliable equipment and accurate information in demanding environments,” said John “JK” Krystyniak of BlackOhm. “SOF RACER gives us another way to understand emerging requirements and put proven tracking technology closer to the people using it in the field.”
BlackOhm has a successful history of supporting some of the U.S. military’s most specialized units. Its SOF RACER membership will provide the company with an opportunity to showcase its mission-ready tracking capabilities to the broader Special Operations community and help integrate performance data into operational planning.
